651 Walnut St., downtown 513-621-9222

As late-night diners weep in their hummus at the closing of the Newport location of Mythos, downtown workers looking for more Mythos lunch options can celebrate Grecian-style with three downtown locations.

The Newport Mythos closed last month so the liquor store next door could expand. There are two Mythos express options downtown, and by mid-November, there will be another Mythos store in the family.

Already, gyro-seekers can pop into the Mythos at 410 Vine St. for Greek to-go. (There is no seating.) For those preferring a more laid-back lunch to get away from the office, the Mythos at 651 Walnut St. (on the Seventh Street side of the Aronoff Center) offers the same menu complete with seating.

The new jewel in the Mythos crown will be Mythos Grecian Grill, which will take over the old Atlanta Bread Company space on Fourth Street. Set to open in mid-November, the new location will offer a wider, specialty menu in addition to Mythos favorites. Bonus: the restaurant plans to stay open until 5 p.m., so you can get food after work too.

HOURS: Open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

APPETIZER: Spanakopita - spinach and feta stuffed in phyllo dough and baked until crispy ($2.25)

PITA: Gyros, beef and lamb served in a pita with tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce ($4.19)

VEGGIE GYRO: Tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, lettuce, onions, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce and special dressing ($3.99)

DESSERT: Kadaifi - shredded wheat with nuts and syrup ($1.45)
