Andy's Mediterranean Grille
906 Nassau St., Walnut Hills 513-281-9791 www.andyskabob.com
Andy's will make you love Mediterranean food.
Not only is Andy's marinade delicious, his hummus perfectly creamy and tangy, and the baklava deliciously sweet and flaky - but the atmosphere at Andy's Mediterranean Grille pulls it all together.
Belly dancers shimmy through the restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights, and it seems whenever a good time is being had, one of Andy's ornate hookahs is close by. Choose from some 15 flavors, including apple, strawberry and rose.
The dining room is small but comfortable, and the bar is a great place to find yourself after work. The restaurant opens up to two enclosed patios where you can get big tables for groups of friends or tables for two for more intimate meals.
If you're looking for the man behind the name, Andy Hajjar, he's either in the kitchen cooking up meals or in the dining room sitting and chatting with his guests.
You truly can't go wrong with Andy's hummus ($7) or labneh ($7), both of which are delicious.
Vegetarians will love the falafel platter ($15) or the generous serving of veggies on the vegetarian kabob ($16), with two skewers packed with chunks of zucchini, onion, tomato, green pepper and mushroom. The skewers are served over rice.
Meat eaters will love the chicken ($16) or tenderloin ($19) skewers, which are served with rice and are perfect for sharing.
